The company
The factory was founded in 1959 by Wilhelm Hendrich producing indoor shoes. The company brand "Florett" was developed in the course of years to become a specialist manufacturer of all-round comfortable footwear.
In the meantime we produce open-backed shoes and sandals in the summer as well as waterproof membrane boots (PURATEX and SYMPATEX) in winter.
As a middle sized company we are always working on improving our programme. So in 1997 we had the idea of producing Varomed® , the perfect therapy shoe.
This very special collection for patients with "unusal" feet, wounds, injuries or deformations proved to be our start in the orthopaedic market.
In Germany and other countries there are several models paid for by health insurance.
During the time we have developed (and still do!) a broad range of shoes, which help people with foot problems to improve their quality of life.
Most of our shoes are produced in Germany. Our factory is situated at the edge of the Bavarian forest. Here with the help of about 60 employees we are producing about 800 pairs of shoes per day. In order to serve the market with competitive prices we secured a partnership with companies in Southern and Eastern Europe.
